What is Microcurrent Neurofeedback?
Microcurrent neurofeedback (MCN) is a non-invasive, nonmedicinal supportive pathway to optimal brain performance. MCN uses a technology that helps the brain reorganize and balance itself improving symptoms of PTSD, TBI, anxiety, depression and ADHD.
We utilize the IASIS MCN system which uses an FDA registered EEG device that uses brief microcurrent stimulation (3 Pico or 3 trillionths of a watt) to the nervous system, resulting in a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves.
MCN does not train the brain like traditional neurofeedback; rather it “retrains” the brain and CNS (central nervous system) by allowing it to reorganize itself and shift from its formerly fixed patterns that was not conducive to optimal mental performance. This is analogous to re-booting a computer.
Can MCN help PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury?
Traumatic Brain Injury & PTSD
More than 85% of microcurrent clients observed a noticeable positive response in one (1) to three (3) sessions reporting a reduction in head pain, brain fog, impulsivity and better sleep during the first few sessions. The same is also true for anxiety and PTSD clients. Reported changes are generally enduring and sustainable.
